Marco S. Nobile, PhD

Associate Professor at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice

COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

My main research activity is focused on the development of innovative combinations of Evolutionary Computation, Swarm Intelligence, Fuzzy Logic, and Machine Learning to tackle complex computational problems

HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING

Due to the huge requirements of Computational Intelligence methods, I develop my methods on High Performance Computing infrastructures and, in particular, GPU-based supercomputers

BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH

My research activity is mainly driven by open problems in Computational Systems Biology and Medicine, with an focus on interpretability and explainability issues arising from modern machine learning approaches
