Lectio Magistralis at the PhD Opening Ceremony

On October 10th, 2024 I gave a Lectio Magistralis during the Opening Ceremoy of the 40th cycle of PhD at Ca’ Foscari. The event was hosted in the gorgeous Auditorium Santa Margherita, a former church built in the IX century.

My talked focused on the research integrity in the age of general-purpose AI. The talk was very well received and appreciated, which is a good signal. All talks

There were other talks during the event: the pro-Rector for research, Prof. Maria Del Valle Ojeda Calvo, and the representative of PhD students, Elisa Montori, gave the institutional welcome. After that, the delegate for University Library System, Prof. Marina Buzzoni, talked about Open Access publishing. Finally, Prof. Giulia Fiorani, Rector’s delegate for Knowledge transfer, discussed the strategies for research valorization. A very nice and comprehensive introduction to the world or research for new PhD students. A gallery of the event has been published on Flickr.
