New publication: COST action ‘cHiPSet’ book chapter

A book chapter about the Case Study “Towards Human Cell Simulation” lead by me was published today. The chapter belongs to the “cHiPSet” COST Action on “High-Performance Modelling and Simulation for Big Data Applications” published today on the vol. 11400 of Lecture Notes on Computer Science.

The chapter — whose first author is Simone Spolaor, the Ph.D. student I am co-advising — discusses some challenges of whole cell simulation: multi-scale modeling and simulation, lack of quantitative parameters, model simplification, and so on.
