New paper published in PaCT 2019’s proceedings
The PaCT conference (Parallel Computing Technologies) is a biennial event focused on the new developments and trends in parallel computing technologies. We presented some papers in the previous editions, mainly focusing on GPU-powered (biochemical) simulation [1], [2], [3].
This year we submitted a manuscript focused on something completely different, that is, the GPU-powered automatic extraction of Haralick features from (medical) images. This is a fundamental — and computationally intensive — pre-processing step that is useful to perform complex tasks like segmentation and classification.
The tool that we will present at the conference, HaraliCU, is open-source and can be downloaded from GITHUB.
